Rules and Regulations

1. Code of Conduct & Institutional Regulations-

  • All students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and personal conduct at all times — within classrooms, laboratories, workshops, libraries, hostels, and all other areas of the Institute. Respectful behavior, appropriate dress, and courteous interaction with faculty, staff, and fellow students are mandatory.
  • Any act of misconduct, whether on or off campus, that tarnishes the reputation or discipline of the Institute will invite strict disciplinary action.

2. Attendance Policy

  • A minimum of 75% attendance in both theory and practical classes for each subject is compulsory.

3. Notice Board Responsibility-

  • Students must check the Institute Notice Boards regularly for official announcements, academic updates, and important instructions. The Institute will not be held responsible for any loss, inconvenience, or missed opportunity arising from a student’s failure to read notices on time.

4. Class Representatives (CRs)

  • Class Representatives will be appointed strictly on the basis of academic merit, in accordance with University norms and guidelines.

5. Anti-Ragging Policy

  • The Institute enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging. Ragging in any form is a serious criminal offense.
  • Any student found guilty of ragging will face:
  • Immediate expulsion from the Institute
  • Legal action under the Anti-Ragging Law

6. Admission Integrity

  • Admission obtained through false, misleading, or incorrect information will result in immediate cancellation of admission. All fees paid shall be forfeited without exception.

7. Protection of Institute Property

  • Institute property, including but not limited to furniture, laboratory equipment, computers, books, periodicals, machinery, fixtures, and infrastructure, must be treated with care.
  • Any damage, destruction, or misuse of property will lead to:
  • Recovery of the cost of damage
  • Strict disciplinary action, including possible expulsion

8. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Institute and Hostel premises:

  • Smoking and the use of tobacco in any form
  • Consumption or possession of alcohol
  • Use of narcotic drugs or intoxicating substances
  • Spitting, defacing walls, or damaging premises
  • Any behavior considered indecent, unsafe, or harmful
  • Violation will result in severe disciplinary measures.

9. Fees and Institutional Dues

  • Students must clear all tuition fees, hostel dues, fines, and other Institute charges within the prescribed time. Failure to do so empowers the Principal to remove the student’s name from the rolls without further notice.

10. Expulsion for Serious Misconduct

  • Students involved in anti-national, unlawful, or severely disruptive activities may be expelled immediately, without prior notice, at the discretion of the Principal.

11. Examination Eligibility Requirements

  • Before appearing for examinations, students must:
  • Clear all financial dues

12. Authority on Discipline

  • All matters concerning discipline fall under the authority of the Principal, whose decisions shall be final and binding.

13. Right to Amend Rules

  • The Institute reserves the right to modify, amend, introduce, or withdraw any rule or regulation at any time, without prior notice.

14. Mandatory Anti-Ragging Undertaking

  • Every student and parent/guardian must submit a joint Anti-Ragging Undertaking at the time of admission to the Administrative Office. Admission will not be considered complete without this submission.
