Our goal at Saraswati College of Pharmacy is to be an academic leader, create a space that is fully inclusive and to lead the way in innovation. To fulfill these goals, we provide an excellent education in pharmacy, create community opportunities for students and practice sustainability as an institution. Our goal is to prepare our graduates in pharmacy into future leaders within the field of healthcare. In all of our programs, we offer a comprehensive education in pharmacy that combines the theoretical and practical application of the profession and instills an ethical basis for serving others through their profession. Our students have the ability to innovate and create solutions from within themselves to help improve the health of individuals on a global scale.

Short-Term (1-3 Years):

Modernized Pedagogy: Implementation of ICT-enabled classrooms and simulation-based learning for complex pharmacy subjects like Pharmacology.

Faculty Advancement: Launching the “Saraswati Faculty Fellowship” to support Ph.D. enrollments and research publication in Scopus/WoS journals.

Long-Term (3-5+ Years):

Centre of Excellence: Transition into a prestigious research hub recognized for Outcome-Based Education (OBE).

Global Benchmarking: Obtaining international certifications or academic audits to ensure degrees are recognized by global pharmacy boards (NAPLEX/PEBC).

Short-Term (1-3 Years):

The “Pragati” Scholarship: Launching a tuition-waiver scheme specifically for meritorious girl students and wards of defense personnel.

Barrier-Free Access: Completing a full audit to ensure 100% lift and ramp access for physically challenged students.

Long-Term (3-5+ Years):

Village Adoption: Scaling our “Saraswati Swasthya Abhiyan” to provide end-to-end healthcare guidance to five nearby adopted villages.

Short-Term (1-3 Years):

Women’s Innovation Cell: Creating an incubation unit to help female students pitch ideas for herbal cosmetics or pharmacy retail ventures.

Long-Term (3-5+ Years):

The Saraswati Start-up Fund: Establishing a dedicated fund to provide seed capital for alumni-led pharmaceutical start-ups.

Short-Term (1-3 Years):

Central Instrument Lab (CIL) Upgrade: Installing high-end equipment like HPLC and UV-Spectrophotometers for advanced student research.

Generic Initiative: Starting a student-led study on the bioavailability and cost-effectiveness of generic alternatives to life-saving drugs.

Long-Term (3-5+ Years):

Patent Portfolio: Moving from academic research to applied innovation with a target of 2-3 patents per year.

Industry-Sponsored Research: Securing funding from top pharma companies (like Sun Pharma or Cipla) for contractual lab research.

Short-Term (1-3 Years):

MoUs with Pharma Hubs: Signing 5+ Memorandums of Understanding with manufacturing units in Baddi and Mohali for industrial visits and training.

Long-Term (3-5+ Years):

Finish School Concept: Establishing a “Saraswati Finishing School” to train students in the specific soft skills and regulatory compliance (US-FDA/EU-GMP) required for high-paying corporate roles.

Short-Term (1-3 Years):

Public Health Outreach: Organizing quarterly blood donation and free health-checkup camps at the Saraswati Multi-specialty Hospital.

Long-Term (3-5+ Years):

Certified Skill Hub: Becoming an authorized training center for the Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) to provide vocational training to local youth.

Green Chemistry: Promoting eco-friendly lab practices and proper chemical waste management systems.

Solar Pilot: Installing the first phase of solar panels on the pharmacy block roof.

Net Zero Campus: Achieving a 100% renewable energy transition and establishing a medicinal herb garden for sustainable research.
